UPDATE: July 2022
Our dear friends from Felissimo Cattery are in the process of immigration to the USA.
As of July 2022 we have filed papers under the U4U Ukrainian Immigration program under the Department of Homeland Security. All of the cats and kittens, along with family members will be coming here to our home in Central Pennsylvania.
We will be having more kittens!
In fact, some of the kittens currently in the Ukraine will be arriving here in the next few months (paperwork willing!)

What is the Price of a Kitten?
The total price of a kitten is $2000 USD. We do not ship our kittens. Kittens may never be "resold" without our approval. If you would need to "re-home" your cat, we have the "right of first refusal" and must be advised of, and agree with your plans. This prevents people from buying a kitten and selling to someone else. We also do not sell kittens as "gifts for other people". All kittens are TICA or CFA Registered and on Pet (Non Breeding) Contract, (unless you are coming into our Annex Breeder program). Kittens are 12 weeks old when they can go to their new homes, at that point they will have had their first set of vaccinations, microchip and thorough examination by a veterinarian.
NO cat or kitten should ever EVER be declawed !
How do I purchase a kitten- what is your reservation process?
We maintain a Top Ten List of approved applicants who have made a non refundable $100 deposit and are waiting to get their kitten. The $100 is deducted from the purchase price of the kitten. The Top Ten List will be offered a choice of kittens in date application order. They can choose or wait, they move up on the list.
We are NOT a good idea for someone who is not patient to wait or is really specific in what they are looking for in color or gender. For instance if you have your heart set on a gray kitten with white boots, we are honestly not your breeder and we would not take your deposit. We believe every kitten should be absolutely loved and cherished the moment they are born regardless of color- but we totally understand color preference is really important to some people- but we just don't have enough kittens if you're super specific.
I've had an application in for a long time, can I fill out a new one?
We ONLY keep applications on file for a year under normal circumstances. So with COVID, all applications will be out of date. If you the only way to see that the applications are open is to check back here from time to time. We will not email you to let you know.
Adult Cats or older kittens?
We rarely have any adult cats or older kittens for sale or to retire. If we do, we will post on the website and facebook page The price is normally the same as for a kitten and the older cat is spayed or neutered.
Do you allow visits?
No, our kittens are fully home raised. We are not an open cattery with visiting hours. Kittens are part of our everyday life from the moment they are born; among people, children and dogs and all the sights, sounds and smells of a home. I am a professional dog trainer, and own Cold Creek Dog Training. We do NOT make a living selling cats- we only have a few litters a year. Our focus is on an occasional healthy vibrant litter of kittens, simply because we love having them and we love the Maine Coon Cat breed :)
Our breeding cats come from UA Felissimo Cattery in the Ukraine, so we have the "European Look" Maine Coons.
We DO NOT have polydactyl kittens- multiple toes are actually a birth defect!
If you are interested in getting a cat shipped to you, contact Svetochka for information through Felissimo and delivery via Europe.
We have many pictures on the Cold Creek Maine Coons Face Book page to see how our kittens live and are raised. We follow the thoughts of Dr. Becker at Mercola.com in natural rearing (the mother is NOT taken away from kittens, she will be with them till they go to you at 12 weeks old).
How long is the wait for a kitten?
It’s impossible to say. We have no way of knowing just when, or how many, kittens will be born since it all depends on Mother Nature. Sometimes flexibility in choices greatly improves your chances of getting a kitten sooner since you are open to options. We only have a few litters a year, so please keep this in mind when deciding to get a kitten from us. If you are waiting for a specific color, we strongly suggest you put applications elsewhere too- Our ideal forever kitten home is with someone who wants a healthy large Maine Coon :)
Do you have a health guarantee?
Our kittens carry a full, 2 year, health guarantee for all genetic health issues. Kittens are microchipped, veterinarian health checked, and veterinarian vaccinated as well. Parents are HCM Clear N/N (Feline Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy), as well as, FELV and FIV tested. HCM is a fatal heart disease that affects about 33% of Maine Coons, based on current statistics. This disease can be eliminated through DNA testing and selective breeding.
Even if you don't get a kitten from us, please ask about this from your breeder!
When should spay/neuter my kitten?
We suggest spaying/neutering when your kitten is fully mature at two years of age. We want your kitten mature and as healthy as possible, we do not suggest the old school concept of spay/neuter by 6 months. Allowing hormones to develop natural through maturity has been proven to add to a longer and healthier life. You will get registration papers when you send us proof of the spay/neutering, and proof of microchip registration. If you neuter/spay before 2 years of age your contract will be void.
What should I feed my kitten?
Your kitten should be given any non-grocery store brand of dry food, as well as wet/canned food every day with some water added. The water aids in keeping your kitten hydrated, which makes for better overall health. Brands of food are always open to debate depending on the current wave of information. The key to anything is variety. We suggest changing your brands from time to time.
Can I take my cat outside?
Yes of course, but he has to be safe and harnessed. Free roaming or being off leash is not permitted cats can be gone in a split second! We want your cat to have the most natural "normal" cat life possible, but use common sense safety measures with it.
